Technical Lead and Full Stack Engineer

Own technical delivery across the existing application, backend and deployment stack. This role combines implementation, code review, database management, practical DevOps and release coordination.

Yaaber is a mobile-first social product spanning content, live conversations, messaging, audio and video, group calls, reels and news, alongside the organisation Companion. This role works with the existing product and codebase.

Must have

• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript; hands-on Node.js tooling or backend development; confident frontend debugging across responsive web interfaces.
• REST API design, authentication and authorisation, SQL data modelling, migrations, indexing and query-performance diagnosis.
• Cloudflare Workers experience, or strong transferable serverless experience with a credible plan to learn Workers, D1 and R2.
• Git-based collaboration, code review, CI/CD, environment configuration, observability, rollback planning and production troubleshooting.
• Practical application security, automated tests and performance profiling; ability to explain trade-offs and mentor other engineers.

Main responsibilities

• Understand the codebase and its risks; deliver focused fixes and improvements without defaulting to a rewrite.
• Improve APIs, database reliability, frontend consistency and performance; manage safe migrations and deployment configuration.
• Coordinate mobile and QA work, review changes and maintain clear technical documentation and release evidence.
• Coordinate release readiness and act as the release gatekeeper: identify the exact candidate build, assemble QA and independent review evidence, document unresolved risks and rollback plans, and prepare the release recommendation for the owner’s final publication approval.
• Arrange independent review of your own code, coordinate the approved release, verify it after deployment and preserve traceability between tested and published builds.
