4–7 years. Core hire · terms to be agreed.

Location: Hyderabad. Work-from-home arrangements may be considered and agreed later. Local candidates are preferred.

Yaaber is a mobile-first social product spanning content, live conversations, messaging, audio and video, group calls, reels and news, alongside the organisation Companion. This role works with the existing product and codebase.

Must have

  • Shipped and maintained iOS and Android applications using a relevant hybrid or cross-platform approach, with practical native integration in Swift and Kotlin or equivalent demonstrated capability.
  • App lifecycle and state management, permissions, audio sessions, background behaviour, network recovery and interrupted user flows.
  • Push notifications using FCM and APNs, deep links and authentication return flows; experience debugging on physical devices.
  • Camera and microphone access, media capture and uploads, plus hands-on real-time audio/video or WebRTC integration and STUN/TURN troubleshooting.
  • iOS and Android build pipelines, signing, provisioning, store submission and release diagnostics.

Main responsibilities

  • Stabilise startup, navigation, login, notifications, calls and media flows across a focused physical-device test matrix.
  • Diagnose native and JavaScript-layer failures together, including app resume, poor connectivity and permission changes.
  • Implement platform-appropriate incoming-call and background behaviour where applicable; validate against current platform requirements.
  • Work with the lead and QA on reproducible builds, release candidates, real-device evidence and post-release fixes.

Useful additional experience

CallKit and PushKit where applicable, Android call and notification integration, crash reporting, app performance profiling and automated mobile smoke tests. Expertise in every framework is not required.

What to share

relevant app links or a permitted demonstration, clear ownership of both platform behaviours, and confidence diagnosing device-only failures.

Experience ranges are guides, not rigid cut-offs. Prioritise relevant shipped work and demonstrated skills. Compensation and final engagement terms will be discussed separately.
